WSC Loga

The Wassersportclub Loga – WSC Loga e.V. – sits on Fährstraße in Leer, East Frisia, where the old Loga ferry once crossed the Leda. The boathouse and container racks stand just behind Evenburg Park, and the jetty runs along the Leda bank itself.

Founded in 1965, the club today has around 130 members organised into two active divisions: tour skippers on motor boats and sailors. The boathouse holds 20–30 boats and is currently full, and a club slipway makes launching straightforward. The jetty was completely renewed in 2018.

From the dock the Leda opens onto the Ems and the East Frisian inland waters. Club life keeps the place alive: «Boßeln» with kale supper in February, family barbecues and the regatta closing party are fixtures in the calendar. In March 2025 Claudia Hartwig was elected as the club's first ever female chair.
