Small Boat Harbour near Fjällbacka

This small boat harbour lies in the Fjällbacka area of Tanum municipality, surrounded by the dramatic cliff landscape of northern Bohuslän. Vetteberget falls steeply into the sea here, and beyond the coastline the archipelago opens up with rocks, skerries and natural anchorages in one of Sweden's most photographed coastal settings. The harbour caters mainly to local owners with smaller motor and sailing boats and serves as a workaday harbour rather than a large visitor destination.

Facilities are deliberately simple but functional, with shore power and fresh water on the pontoons and toilets and showers nearby. For larger services such as fuel, hull washing and crane work, boaters head a few hundred metres to Fjällbacka's central guest harbour, where 160 guest berths and full marina service are on hand. The distance is comfortably walkable even with heavy provisions.

The location gives quick access to some of the west coast's most famous natural harbours — Kalvö, Florö and the Väderöarna islands all lie within a day's reach, while the village of Fjällbacka with its restaurants, shops and Ingrid Bergman's Square sits right behind.
