Sejl- og Motorbådsklubben Frem sits at Gammelsø 49 in Odense, close to the city centre on the Odense Canal. Founded in 1953 and celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2018, the club today has roughly 85 members and 60 berths split fairly evenly between motorboats and sailing yachts.
Visitors consistently describe Frem as a quiet, welcoming club marina with a helpful harbour master. Modern showers and toilets, shore-power consumption and Wi-Fi are all included in the harbour fee, and marine diesel is sold on site. From the gates it is a short walk into the shops, restaurants and museums of Odense — the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen.
