Description

Nivå Havn is one of the most beautifully sited marinas on the Øresund coast. It was built into the disused clay pit that gave the town its name and now offers 426 berths operated by Fredensborg Municipality. The marina is Blue Flag certified and is often called "the green marina" — salt meadows, reedy ponds and a rich birdlife wrap around the moles.

Full services are on tap: shore power, water, showers, toilets, Wi-Fi, laundry and tumble dryer. Diesel, petrol, gas, a crane, a boat yard and a pump-out are all on site, and motorhome pitches can be booked next to Strandparken. A defibrillator sits at the harbour office, and bike rental makes it easy to explore Nivå and the coast beyond.

Three eateries line the quays — Trekosten, Lagunen and Strandcaféen — and Nivå Strandpark with its bathing area and playground borders the marina directly. The berths are attractive enough that there is a long waiting list.
