Motor-Yachtclub Dörnigheim e.V.

Motor-Yachtclub Dörnigheim e.V. sits at «Am Bootshafen» in the Maintal district of Dörnigheim, tucked between the Main floodplains and the nearby Frankfurt skyline. Behind the gate a free area opens up right on the riverbank, used during the season as storage for boats and trailers, and otherwise as a quiet stretch of green by the water.

From the club harbour members head straight onto the Main – upstream toward Aschaffenburg or downriver through Frankfurt to the Rhine. A club slipway makes launching trailerable boats straightforward, and the clubhouse just steps from the dock is the natural place to gather after a day on the water.

The MYCD is shaped by an active membership: almost everyone owns their own boat and many are keen waterskiers. The club has hosted the «Maintal-Cup» as well as German national and club championships in waterskiing.
