Hafen Breege

Hafen Breege sits deep inside the Breeger Bodden on the north coast of Rügen, sheltered between the reed banks of the Wittow peninsula. A narrow channel of roughly 17 nm leads in from open water – an approach skippers come for the landscape, not for speed.

The small harbour is mostly run by a charter operator but keeps berths for visiting yachts. Expect calm water 2–3 m deep, power and water at the dock, a diesel pump, slipway and sanitary in the harbourmaster's house. Bread rolls, fresh fish and a low-key restaurant are a short walk from the pontoon.

Sailors come to Breege for the quiet: wide Bodden vistas, thatched roofs, short hops to Cape Arkona and the Hiddensee ferry. A classic Bodden stop for long summer evenings.
