Borstahusens hamn

Borstahusens hamn lies on the Öresund three kilometres north of Landskrona and is one of Skåne's best preserved fishing villages. The harbour holds around 260 berths with about ten guest places, the pontoons tucked between low 18th-century cottages, sandy beaches and the cry of gulls. The approach is straightforward but shallow – depths run from 1.2 to 3 metres, and you should follow the marked channels.

Ashore the fishing village takes over in earnest. Lanes between the cottages lead past a smokehouse, a fishmonger and the Pumphuset cultural centre, and in summer the harbour hums around the restaurants, an ice-cream kiosk and the harbour pub. An ICA supermarket is just under a kilometre away, Landskrona GK golf course is right next door, and the trails around the Lagunerna nature reserve are some of the most visited in Sweden.

For visiting boaters Borstahusen is as practical as it is charming: power, water, showers, laundry, septic pump-out, diesel and petrol are all on site, and Ven, Helsingborg and Helsingør are within a comfortable day-sail across the Öresund.
