Description
Skuldelev Havn is a small, half-hidden cosy harbour at the foot of the Skuldelev ridge — 20 m grassy slopes that act as a wind break from the west. The harbour is run by Skuldelev-Bådelaug and fits a Morten Korch atmosphere: just nature and winding back roads, with 2 km to Skuldelev village for groceries.
It is a free harbour (frihavn): DKK 25/day for the first 3 days, then normal rate (DKK 60 + DKK 25 environment fee). Berths cannot be pre-booked — first come, first served. Shore power, Wi-Fi, gas, BBQ, bike rental and toilets are on site, but there are no showers.
The sheltered conditions make the spot ideal for beginners, and the history is rich: the Skuldelev ships, now on display at the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde, were found 20 km north of the town.
