Askim Harbour
Inland mooring pier on the Glomma in Indre Østfold – no marina services, but quiet riverside nature.

Description
Askim Harbour is not a guest marina in the traditional sense. It is a T-shaped pier facility at Solbergfoss along the Glomma – Norway's longest river – extending twelve metres from shore with a fifteen-metre crossarm. The water at the end of the pier is roughly 3.5 metres deep. The land is owned by hydropower company E-co; the municipality runs the pier itself.
The pier was built partly as an accessible fishing platform for people with disabilities, but it is also used by boat owners looking for a short stop along the Glomma. There is no service building, no shore power, no fresh water, and no waste handling on site. You bring what you need – but in return, you get the Glomma essentially to yourself on a quiet morning.
For paddlers, sport anglers and local motorboat owners, Askim is more of a starting point than a destination. The Indre Østfold landscape around Solbergfoss is calm and green, and Askim town centre with shops and cafés is a short drive away. Treat this as a day pier, not a cruising target.
