Terms of Service

The agreement between you and NorDok.

1. Parties

These terms govern your use of NorDok ("the service"), operated by NorDok, Dannesbovej 2A, 5690 Tommerup, Denmark, CVR 44759217 ("we", "us"). By using the service you accept these terms.

2. The service

NorDok is a Nordic marina directory and community platform. Users may discover marinas and slipways, read and write reviews, follow harbours, upload photos, view weather forecasts and seafarer notices, and use the sailor guestboard. Marina owners may claim and manage their harbour profile via a paid Premium subscription.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

4. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, photos, guestboard posts). You grant NorDok a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your content as part of operating the service. You warrant that the content is yours and does not infringe third-party rights.

We may remove content that breaches these terms, defames, harasses, or violates law.

5. Premium subscription

  • Premium is sold per marina with a fixed monthly base price (in DKK). Customers receive an automatic 5% volume discount per additional marina, capped at 50%.
  • Billing periods: monthly, half-year (10% discount), or annual (15% discount).
  • Payment terms: 8 days net from invoice date. Manual bank transfers are accepted; Stripe Checkout is offered where available.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • Cancellation: self-service from your marina dashboard, or by writing to mail@nordok.net. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
  • Prices are stated excluding VAT. VAT is applied on the invoice based on the customer's country (DK 25%, SE 25%, NO 25%, DE 19%, others reverse-charge or 0%).

6. Refunds and right of withdrawal

Premium is sold to businesses (B2B). The 14-day right of withdrawal under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (forbrugeraftaleloven §18) does not apply to B2B customers. We grant pro-rata refunds for partial periods at our discretion — see our refund policy.

If you are nonetheless a consumer (private individual not acting in a commercial capacity), you have a 14-day right to withdraw from the moment of activation. Withdrawal must be communicated in writing to mail@nordok.net.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: scrape data at scale without permission; submit unlawful, infringing, defamatory or spam content; impersonate others; attempt to circumvent security; resell access; or use the service in a way that disrupts other users.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but make no specific uptime guarantee. We may perform planned maintenance and may modify or discontinue features. Where reasonable, we notify Premium subscribers in advance.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Danish law, our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, lost profits, lost data or loss of goodwill.

10. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure caused by events outside reasonable control: natural disasters, war, riots, pandemics, governmental action, internet/utility outages, or third-party infrastructure failures.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. Material changes affecting Premium customers are notified at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are settled by the courts of Aarhus, Denmark, unless mandatory consumer-law rules require otherwise.
